  • How does MAVI work?

    The MAVI process starts with us getting to know your company and the specifics of the role you’re hiring for. Once we have a good understanding of your goals and needs, we use AI and human expertise to match you with the best-fit candidates in our network for your needs. You then receive a shortlist of the 2-3 most targeted profiles, and we schedule interviews with you and the candidates you want to meet. Once you find a fit, we help you onboard the talent to your team, so you can start working immediately while we handle all the admin – contracts, payments, data security, and compliance.

  • Does MAVI place full-time or part-time talent?

    MAVI places both full-time and part-time talent, depending on your needs. Of our 130+ active engagements today, about 40% are full-time and 60% are part-time (15+ hours/week).

  • What type of work can MAVI Talent do?

    MAVI is vertically focused on finance & accounting and provides talent that can support the end-to-end finance and accounting function (including bookkeeping, reconciliations, AP/AR, month-end close, reporting, financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and more). On the accounting side, our talent pool spans from Staff Accountants (3-5 years of experience, US GAAP trained, often ex-Big 4) up to Controller-level candidates (with experience leading large teams), and everything in between. Our FP&A talent ranges from Junior Analysts (including ex-IBD/PE talent with rigorous modeling backgrounds) through Senior Analysts and FP&A Managers with 10+ years of experience leading strategic teams.

    MAVI follows a rigorous vetting process and employs a high bar for quality, so only the top 2% of global finance and accounting talent make it into our network. We assess technical skills and functional knowledge, screen for culture fit, and verify experience. Our candidates go through multiple vetting stages: a background screening, a series of technical skill tests, an experience and leadership assessment, and verification of software proficiency and credentials. Our process is fast, thorough, and built to ensure the best talent every time.

  • Can we interview and test candidates before making a decision?

    Yes! After we send you profiles to review, we’ll schedule interviews with the talent so you can qualify their skills, experience, and fit.

  • How does MAVI ensure a long-term fit for my team?

    MAVI offers a trial period that lets you work with someone for 14 days with no upfront payments. If things don’t work out with a MAVI Talent, just let us know, and we can find you someone new ASAP.

  • Where are MAVI Talent located?

    MAVI is a global platform with talent from over 10 countries, focusing on the top 2% of finance & accounting talent within that region. Our two largest hubs are LATAM (Brazil, Colombia, Mexico, etc.) and APAC (Philippines, India, etc.).

  • Do we have any overlapping work hours with MAVI Talent?

    Yes, all MAVI Talent are required to overlap at least 50% of their working hours with their employer to maintain seamless collaboration. If this is an important consideration for your team, let us know and we can prioritize candidates who are able to meet your overlapping work hour requirements.

  • How does MAVI address communication issues common to working with global talent?

    Communication is a baseline requirement for MAVI Talent. Every professional in our network has advanced English written and verbal communication skills, so you can work without worrying about any language gaps or miscommunications.

  • How does MAVI ensure data security and compliance?

    MAVI Talent work in a secure, virtual environment housed on US data servers and cannot copy or download any data from this secure environment. Our machines are SOC 2 compliant and are equipped with robust endpoint protection.

  • How do payments work with MAVI?

    MAVI only charges a monthly recurring fee that includes: the talent’s compensation and our platform fees for talent management (contracting, payments, compliance, data security). We do not collect an upfront payment fee, and there is no long-term lock-in – you only pay while talent are engaged, and we promise to deliver the best customer service in the industry.
